The aim of this project is to understand the ritual character of the Guarani Jesuit Reduction of Nuestra Señora de Loreto by analysing archaeological records that signal the importance of processional walkways, and together with it, the inhabitants who lived along this path. It was not considered sacred only because it connected the structures of the Chapel of Nuestra Señora de Loreto, the main Church and the Chapel of Monte Calvario -fundamental elements in festive days-, but also because this pathway was used as a road for access and traffic circulation on a day-to-day basis, allowing the inhabitants in the reduction to move between places.
